Behind every shipment is a patient waiting for therapy.
Reliable Access to Critical Plasma Therapies. Complete Accountability on Every Shipment.
Alera Specialty Sourcing supplies IVIG and albumin to private hospitals and infusion networks in emerging markets that fall outside the major manufacturers' priority allocation.
About Us
Connecting Hospitals with Dependable Supply
Alera was founded to solve a persistent imbalance: hospitals across emerging markets face recurring shortages of essential plasma-derived therapies, even when clinical demand is clear and the budgets to purchase them are in place.
Alera provides one accountable counterparty for every shipment, so providers can treat patients without supply interruptions.
Alera is incorporated in the United States and is establishing its operating company in Europe. The team has built and led plasma businesses across more than 100 countries.
Every Patient Counts
Behind every shipment is a patient waiting for therapy. Geography should never dictate access to essential medicines.
The Challenge and the Alera Answer
Closing the Access Gap in Plasma-Derived Therapies
Patients rely on plasma-derived therapies, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and albumin, for autoimmune conditions, transplant, complex surgery, and critical care. Yet private hospitals in emerging markets, which lie outside the major manufacturers' priority allocation face recurring shortages.
Hospitals deprioritized by suppliers during tight supply cycles.
Supply contracted with licensed plasma fractionators before any institutional program launches.
Complex import paperwork causing extended customs holds.
Complete country-specific, end-to-end, import and export documentation, with qualified importer coordination.
Unreliable transit risking temperature excursions and product degradation.
Temperature-monitored from origin to destination, with qualified logistics partners.
Unregulated traders creating pricing volatility and counterfeit risk.
Transparent, repeatable supply chains with complete traceability.
